About Otis
Okay so you have heard of the song born to be wild – well how bout born to snuggle – snuggle should have been my name.
I was born to snuggle – I love laps, arms and anything else that can help with my cuddling.
So my name isn’t snuggles its Otis but it’s okay I would probably answer to anything if you were loving on me.
I am a 5 month old Shmoodle (so that’s a Toy Poodle X Maltese-Shih Tzu)
I am into care due to personal reasons for my previous owners - nothing to do with me.
I know that ladies don’t like discussing their weight, but since I’m a boy it’s okay cause at 4.5kgs I think I’m pretty small and light and one would say, the perfect carry me around and be my slave weight!
So the home I’m looking for is pretty simple I think – I want a home where there is someone home more often than not, they can work from home or be retired, or a stay home parent etc. but they need to be able to give me some lap time thru the day or cuddles – I love that!
I love being able to have access to inside and outside and love being able to go out into the garden thru the day and have a good run around I am good with other dogs and love to play with other dogs – the rescue has said that I really do need to go to a home with another small breed dog who wants to mentor me, snuggle with me and teaching me confidence as well as play time. I’m great with playing with them and also to snuggle with on the bed / couch / dog bed – basically anywhere – I just love to snuggle.
I am still a pup so my foster mum has mentioned something about continuing to spend time with me training me and just making me the bestest dog in the world with cuddles but also consistency
I wouldn’t enjoy being home alone for 8+ hours a day without humans. My foster mum says I am not a fan of spending time by myself unless I choose too.
I am working on my house training and use the doggy door, my foster mum says we are about 96% there if I get really nervous I may have an accident.
I live with some young kids at the moment they don’t bother me – I would happily snuggle with them at night on their bed. I’m pretty much an equal opportunity cuddler – I don’t discriminate.
I do like to play outdoors especially in mud so I'm a good boy for baths and already had some grooming experience – but I mean come on I’m fluffy as so of course that is something that my new family needs to remember when they apply for me – haircuts will be a consistent in my life

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
