About Mickey

Meet "Mickey" Mouse, the friendly and highly intelligent border collie with a heart of gold!
Mickey is sociable, getting along famously with other dogs and humans alike. His favourite pastime involves a game of fetch, showcasing his agility and exuberance. Mickey doesn't jump up on people but sometimes gets a little excited when they visit, thinking they are here to see and play with him.
Mickey's heartwarming habit of placing his paws over his eyes adds an endearing touch that'll surely bring a smile to your face. He sometimes puts his head on your lap when on the couch, but otherwise, he is happy with belly rubs and pats. Mickey's quirks add a touch of charm; his impeccable sense of feeding time is almost magical. He usually only barks once to let you know when someone comes to the front door, making him an excellent watchdog.
A typical day for Mickey involves going to the park for exercise in the morning. He gets lots of time outside in the courtyard, with people playing with him. He sleeps a lot once exercised (he can tire out after 10 minutes of fast ball-throwing play or running around with another similar-sized dog), and his evenings are spent curling up on the couch or snuggling in his favourite bed. He has spent lots of time with various dogs and seems to enjoy more typical herding breed play but can adjust to suit his playmate.
Mickey originally lived in a rural setting but is perfectly content in his busy neighbourhood. When it's adventure time, he hops into the car, ready to be included in his family's outings. His choice for a home would include a secure backyard so he can spend time inside and outside, and a companion to spend the day with, dog or human, would be fine. Mickey really wants everyone to know he is well-trained with voice commands, is house-trained and excellent at communicating when he needs to go out.

Medical notes
Mickey has a history of mild skin hypersensitivity, which could be due to an environmental airborne allergy, a food allergy or a combination of both.
Mickey's occasional mild itchiness is successfully managed with regular long-acting allergy injections (Cytopoint).

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
