Well allow us to introduce you to our resident glitter girl - Starla!

Just like the name suggests, Starla is a stellar dog who we know will bring so much joy, happiness, and fun to her new family. She's an excitable girl who loooooooves cuddles once she bonds with you, so if you've got a staffy-sized space in your heart and home, this girl may be the one you've been looking for!

Starla is a huge fan of treats and has shown she is a very smart dog at the shelter. She already knows how to sit for a treat or with a hand signal and is currently learning how to drop and stay. She is still working on controlling her excitement around new humans, but we have seen such an improvement already! So with lots of love and positive reinforcement training, we know once she's in a home she is bound to excel at learning new tricks!

Starla has told us she'd like a home with Secondary School Aged Children or Adults Only, as she'd like everyone to be able to manage her on lead and contribute to her training. She's also told us she isn't a fan of other dogs, so will need to be the only dog in her new home as other dogs make her very fearful. We are slowly working on helping her choose to ignore other dogs on walks, so her new family will need to be committed to continuing this training in her new home!
