About Vorik
Vorik is a five year old pedigree German Shepherd, whose owner has had a stroke and is now almost blind, so is unable to care for him and has made the hard decision to find him a new home.
We want him to go to a home where he will be an integral family member as he will be protective of his home environment. Once meeting new people, he is very social and lots pats, attention and playtime.
Vorik has not been tested with cats.
Vorik is great with people and often goes to spend time with other dogs, in fact when he is out walking he wants to say "hello" to every dog he sees.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Vorik will give in abundance when he connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of a German Shepherd, have recently owned this type of breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Vorik.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Vorik".
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet Vorik. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Vorik is microchipped and desexed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
