About Bridget Bardot
Bridget came to us in August from a Brisbane Pound.
Her and her brother were discarded in the after hours Dropbox like garbage.
You will see in her pics, what she looked like when found by staff.
She came to us within a few days of her arriving at pound.
The staff their took the majority of the matts off her, before we collected her and brought her home to have a complete professional clip and a flea bath.
She was skinny, filled with worms and had a huge tumour on her bottom lip.
We had the lump tested and came back benign. We had it removed, plus a large wart on her head, plus a dental.
She has been in foster care for 7 weeks, regaining her strength, her spirit and her trust of people.
Today she is a sassy, loving, independent sweetheart that holds no grudges.
She is living with 5 other dogs and has no issues with them.
She can be a little funny with food but we have worked out her quirky taste buds.
She loves scrambled eggs for breakfast. Loves her greenies.
Loves pigs ears. Really loves chicken, Turkey mince and her dry food.
One little quirk that needs some more attention is her toileting.
We would say 95% toilet trained.
She struggles with the doggie door.
But if a door is open she will take herself out. If she can’t get out, she goes and pees on the drain in the bathroom. 🫣
Bridget goes to the park everyday with her foster pack and loves socialising.
Being a shihtzu x Pekingese she can be very stubborn when she doesn’t want to do something, but that’s who she is.
Bridgey would do well either with a little friend around her age or fine on her own if she has someone home abit.
We are looking for a specific home for her and hoping the right person/persons are out there.
She doesn’t need sympathy as she is over her past and just loves life.
Bridget is on the Gold Coast

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
