About Bonnie
Bonnie – kind, honest, and a little bit cheeky! With a smaller stature, wonderful Miss Bonnie is a charming and happy kelpie girl.
Bonnie enjoys being involved in whatever you are up to – whether it be hanging out the washing or stacking wood. If Bonnie feels unsure, she will quietly return to a trampoline at the house.
Occasionally she’ll venture into the paddock for an explore, but a whistle promptly sees her
bounding back (most of the time!).
Bonnie enjoys being around her doggie foster siblings. A little bit wary with new dogs, she enjoys canine company once familiar. Bonnie loves frolicking in the long grass and splashes in the edges of the dam to cool off. Mature enough to not chew or jump up, you are reminded Bonnie still has a young dog’s zest for life when she spontaneously zooms around the house yard! And it is hard not to smile at her joyous chortles and wiggles to greet you.
Bonnie sits and waits for her dinner, and her recall is good. She does not pull on the lead, and relishes long hikes in the forest. Having a country upbringing to date, Bonnie sometimes needs encouragement to brave new sights and sounds. She can be shy with new people however it doesn’t take long for her to be creeping up to bask in your attention. With a calm clear approach, Bonnie will learn everything and anything you choose to teach her.
Bonnie sleeps quietly on her bed in the living room at night, only stirring when her human appears to chaperone her out and start another fabulous day! Bonnie prefers company, but with a treat to chew on will settle if left home in a secure yard or run. She likes travelling in the car and the ute and waits quietly while you run your errands in town.
Bonnie would do best with some space and in an environment on the quieter side of life. Bonnie would need practice and time to settle into the big wide world of suburbia, but patience would see her adapt, provided her human gives her plenty of the companionship and guidance that she deserves.
Bonnie would suit an individual, couple, or family who have time to spend with her. She would excel with further training and one on one attention. It will be a lucky person that welcomes this
beautiful kelpie girl into their life … and heart… forever.
