About Oyster

Adopt Oyster and you'll find a precious pearl 🦪
We talk about finding a 'diamond in the rough' but today I'm here to tell you about this handsome and adorable boy Oyster. You'll have to do a little work to crack open his tough exterior, but there's something incredibly precious inside.
Oyster is an approximately 18 month old boy who was caught in a trap on a rural property.
He was very sick with cat flu when he was first in care and he was in such a state through the combination of being sick and stressed out/shut down that he refused to move at all for a week.
Slowly he accepted medication and he began to heal his body and his heart.
Over time, Oyster has started to show that he's a cute, smoochy kitty with a heart-warming purr. He's not comfortable being picked up and held just yet and he gets startled easily by sudden movements so he needs someone compassionate and kind to continue building on all the amazing progress he has made so far.
He doesn't need someone with loads of spare time on their hands; he's content being left to snooze and watch the world go by for most of the day.
And he doesn't need someone with any special skills - just patience, understanding and a small space for him to stay in initially as he gets a bit panicked in big open spaces.
Oyster seems quite social with other cats and could certainly have a kitty friend.
He's likely to be fine with a friendly dog.
He needs an indoor only home to protect his fair skin from the harsh sun.
Most of all, he needs love.
Adopting a kitty like Oyster will take you on an amazing, emotional journey. There will be wonderful highs as he learns to trust you, purrs for the first time, smooches you for the first time...
If you've got what it takes to give Oyster the beautiful life he deserves, please get in touch today.
