Hi I’m Teddy! I am an energetic boy who is super lovable and can’t forget absolutely adorable.

I was surrendered to BVAR and not because I was abused and mistreated or due to poor behaviour that was left unmanaged, but due to circumstances out of anyone’s control starting back with my “breeder". Due to this I’ll be looking for a special family who can understand my situation and continue to help me thrive in my home environment.

I can be a little timid when first meeting new and unfamiliar people, but i come around quite quickly. With a few treats and a patient,gentle approach, you’ll have me wagging my tail and giving you kisses in no time. I have little to no hesitation with kids though, I absolutely love small humans!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE other dogs, I definitely really enjoy the company of another canine, so having another dog would be ideal for me in my new home. When meeting new dogs I may look a bit unsure, but with the right introduction and time it doesn’t take me long to adjust.

I am still a little confused on what a cat is. Although I am very curious about them and love to give them kisses,I also know to back off if they tell me to. Given time I should be able to coexist with them quite easily.

I am quite well behaved, and still working hard on all of my training which I’m well established in. I sit on command, know my name and how to behave when I’m given a direction. l am very smart and a fast learner, but can be easily distracted if there’s something more interesting to do. Keeping me focused and continuing my training is a must to help me thrive in my new home.

I walk extremely well on lead with the use of either my harness or Halti, sometimes I can pull when I see something I want to explore but do well with redirection. I can be a little bit jumpy when I’m excited so being firm with me when I do is something that needs to be consistent to limit this from happening.

I just love to go go go and don’t like to sit still too much when I’m in play mode. I love to do zoomies, sometimes I do this with a toy in my mouth, and just have the best time running around. Then you’ll find me happily laying next to you just taking in my surroundings and enjoying your company.

Im a HUGE water baby, and love to play in water! Whenever the hose is on you won’t find me far away, I enjoy trips to the beach where I can run and splash about in the water. I will need a large water dish as I enjoy playing, splashing and laying inside it.

I live mostly outside during the day and come inside during the afternoon/night. I am crate trained for bedtime, and use my crate when I need space for myself away from other animals, it’s kind of like my safe space.

I have perfect house manners and I’m toilet trained when I’m indoors.
