About Louie
Louie is the adventure king!
He's always up for anything despite only having three legs and is always a happy, sweet and friendly lad who really just wants to spend time with his family. Currently living with a larger dog, Louie enjoys swimming, walks and chilling at home. He is good with kids and has learnt a couple of tricks in foster care because he's a clever and motivated guy.
Louie was left at an emergency vet clinic after suffering a major injury that resulted in having to have his rear leg amputated. Thankfully some kind vet nurses stepped up when his previous family didn't and have been caring for him ever since. Louie is now fully healed and is in tip top shape. Long term, Louie just needs to keep a trim figure so there's less impact on his joints but can otherwise do anything any other dog can do.
MY IDEAL HOME: My ideal home would be with either a loving family with children who would play with me or even a beautiful couple, that would treat me as their furbay. I've also been crate trained and I love to sleep inside it or even better if I can sleep with you sometimes.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I have a medium to high energy level. I would greatly benefit for gong on a daily walk. I love to play with my toys and am highly food motivated. I know how to sit, wait for my dinner and shake paws.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm very good with children above the age of 6, I do also love younger children but I can tend to get over excited sometimes when playing so extra care would need to be taken so I do not push anyone over accidentally, but other than that I love everyone.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have been getting along well with my foster sister she is a bigger dog which suits my personality very well. I tend to get overexcited with small/loud dogs so would either need further training with them or would just benefit from an only dog or bigger medium to large dog household.

For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
