Dori is a lovely pooch who is struggling to cope in a busy shelter environment. Giving her some respite from shelter life will help prepare Dori to find her forever family, who is out there somewhere!

Hey there, I'm Dori! I'm a sensitive and shy lady known to be the biggest sweetheart.

I can be a little worried in new places and meeting new people, so I'll need to take introductions at my own pace. Slow and steady please! Crouch down and let me approach you. Once I'm comfy, I'll be climbing into your lap for cuddles!

I'd love to be walked in quiet, low traffic areas since I really don't like high foot traffic and unfamiliar noises. I'd also love to have a crate or den area where I can retreat to if I'm feeling overwhelmed. The calm life is the life for me!

I'm a big fan of food! Treats and titbits are definitely the way to my heart. Since I can be a bit worried about being left alone, I'd love to have someone be home more often than not and use these yummy treats with enrichment to help me feel settled and safe while you are gone.

If you have any teens at home, I'd love to meet them! And if you have any calm, social doggy friends at home, I'd love to meet them too. :)
(Also, no dog parks or off-leash areas for me please. Too overwhelming!)
