Hi there. I’m Texas. I’m an 11-month-old Border Collie x Kelpie.💕
I’m a playful, friendly and happy boy and I’m looking for my forever family. Foster mum say's I'm a handsome boy that gives unconditional love and attention. I'm an absolute cuddle bug with a laid back attitude.
I’d best suit an active family that will include me in their everyday lives.
I'm a very social boy and thoroughly enjoy my play-time with other dogs, but I'm just as happy being the sole attention receiver. I started life trying out being a working dog, but decided that I just wasn't that into that. I absolutely love children and foster mom says I am very patient. I've lived with livestock and am good around most kinds of farm animals.
Since coming into foster care I’ve started my basic training. I’m food motivated & enjoy my training sessions, however I learn in my own time. I sit & wait for my food, and come when called. I'm doing well with my lead training and am responsive on my recall. I go on daily beach and bush walks with my foster family and foster brother. I'm a water baby and love my swims. I am a no-fuss kind of dog and spend my days and nights outside lounging around or playing with my foster brother.
I’m searching for a family who understands the needs of working breeds and is prepared to provide ongoing training and socialisation. A home that can provide me with both physical & mental stimulation to help me be the best boy I can be. If that's you, my foster mum would love to hear from you.
Love & licks,
Texas ❤🐾
