About Roo
All the cuddles you can handle!
Cuddly little Roo is one of the most affectionate kitties that we have ever met. She absolutely lives for snuggles and pats and head boops. She likes to sit on your lap or perch on your shoulder, making biscuits and purring till her heart's content.
She is quite difficult to photograph because she is so wriggly, constantly trying to snuzzle your hand, hug the camera, or come up for kisses, but we hope her cuteness shines through in the ones we managed to take!
What Roo lack in size (she's tiny!), she certainly makes up for in affection!
Despite her confidence with people, Roo is extremely timid in new environments. She tends to start exploring with a sense of adventure, only to quickly feel overwhelmed and go into a bit of panic mode. She will run around until she finds a hiding spot, and then be too scared to emerge.
Roo needs someone who understands her agoraphobia and who is willing to help build her confidence in a new home. It will be best for her to be in a single room while she adapts to the world around her, and then slowly introduced to the rest of the house. She will be the perfect house cat in the end, but it will take a little time. (She has free run of her foster home and is thriving, but it took a proper introduction.)
Roo absolutely must remain an indoor cat, because if she gets overwhelmed outside she will likely be impossible to find/get back. (Her pink nose and pale ears are also particularly prone to skin cancer in the harsh UV rays, so should be kept indoors regardless of her confidence levels.)
This little lady has gotten along well with all other cats she has met, and home with other cats would likely be beneficial for her, as she can learn confidence from them. She might not be very confident around dogs, though.
A home with responsible adults and older children is best, so that no doors or windows are accidentally left open.
If you come for a meet-and-greet with this girl we can almost guarantee that she will win your heart.
Adoption details
If interested in a cat that is available for adoption, we require you to fill out an adoption application, and one of our lovely foster carers will give you a call to organise a time for a meet and greet.
Please note: As we are all volunteers with limited time up our sleeves, we prefer all interested potential adopters to fill out an application, rather than send an enquiry, as this helps us know more about you and what you are after, and saves us all a lot of time!
Apply here for Roo: https://form.jotform.com/sugarandspicecatrescue/cat-adoption-questionnaire
If forms aren't for you though, please SMS us (the number is in the link) and we can call to go through the form over the phone.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
