About Iris 281
Are you an experienced rabbit owner seeking a gentle and low-key companion? Look no further than our lovely, bashful bunny, Iris! With her charming personality and unique preferences, Iris is the ideal addition to a serene and rabbit-savvy household.
Iris would thrive in a secure hutch with ample shade, but she's shown an affinity for using a litter tray, making her a candidate for indoor living. Her litter training skills can be further developed with a little patience and love.
Iris initially came to us with another rabbit, and her social nature shines through. She exhibits excellent social behaviour with other bunnies, so if you're considering expanding your rabbit family, Iris could be the perfect companion for your existing furry friend.
Iris prefers a calm and quiet environment, where she can truly be herself. She's a bit shy and would not do well in a home with dogs or cats, as their presence may make her uncomfortable. She is open to meet kids as well, age is not really a factor, as long as they are gentle & will to show Iris love & respect.
Iris may have low energy levels, but she knows how to bring a smile to your face. Sometimes she surprises us with moments of playfulness that will melt your heart.
Iris values her independence, but she's also agreeable and easy to get along with. She's an excellent companion for those who appreciate a gentle, undemanding friend.
While some bunnies may adore toys, Iris's heart belongs to food! She absolutely loves hay and grass, so preparing tasty meals for her will be a delight.
Though Iris may not be the most rambunctious rabbit, she enjoys being picked up and cherished. She's happiest when you're giving her gentle pats on her back and head or sweetly stroking her ears.
Iris is a gem, ready to bring love and tranquillity to your home. If you're an experienced rabbit owner who values a calm and serene companion, Iris is waiting to be the perfect addition to your life.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
