Luka

Hi, my name is Luka, a very special rat who are looking for a forever home.

I arrived at the shelter when it was found I was expecting babies, and my owner was not prepared for this. I went into foster care to give birth and raise my babies; I was the most fantastic and social mum. I have raised my babies, and they've all been adopted to loving homes, now it's finally my turn!

To keep me safe and happy, Luka will need plenty of room to run around. A large bird cage with good air ventilation is ideal, with additional levels or platforms for her to explore. Hide houses, boxes, toys and food dishes should also be provided to keep them entertained.

With the right environment and lots of love, Luka will be sure to bring joy to her new family! I have been around a polite dog, so I should be comfortable living in a home with one. However, we ask that she DOES NOT go to homes with cats or other prey animals who could possibly cause harm.

Luka also desperately needs a cage mate/girlfriend, as rats are super social animals being alone can be very detrimental to them. But please note, she will only be adopted out to someone with an existing FEMALE rat.
