About Hugo 11024
Hugo is the epitome of an easy-going and lovable feline companion. If you're looking for a charming, low-maintenance cat to share your life with, Hugo is your guy. His big heart and gentle disposition are only a few reasons as to why he is the purrfect roommate.
Hugo is a cat who knows his worth. He prefers to be the reigning King of your castle, which is why he's best suited to a home where he can enjoy his kingdom without the interference of other feline companions. He's not too keen on dogs either, so he'll thrive in home where he can rule as the sole King.
While Hugo isn't particularly vocal, he'll offer a gentle meow when he wants your attention. It's his way of saying, "I'm here” & “Bow down & pet me”
Hugo is an indoor aficionado. He's not a fan of the great outdoors or those bustling cat parks, preferring to lounge indoors and enjoy the comfort of his human's company. If you're a homebody, Hugo will be your perfect match!
This easy-going boy has low energy requirements and a personality that's as agreeable as they come. He's a master of relaxation, making him the ideal companion for someone seeking a serene and calm household. No wild parties for Hugo please – he’s a homebody who would be more interested in Netflix & chill.
While Hugo may be laid-back, he's also incredibly curious about toys and loves exploring his playthings. He's still figuring out which toys he prefers, so you'll have plenty of fun discovering his favourites together. However it didn’t take long for Hugo to figure out that he loves treats!
Hugo appreciates affection, but he's not a fan of being picked up. He prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. He adores cheek scratches and body pats, and when you give him those, he'll reward you with a symphony of purrs.
He’s suitable for families, couples or singles.
He’s also a true gentleman and will always use his litter tray.
Post-Adoption Life: With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
