About Penelope
We reckon that Penelope is about the goofiest greyhound we have ever met! She does not know where she's putting her feet and sometimes she looks like she's about to fall flat on her face! Though she knows you'll be there to catch her! Penelope would love to be a lap dog so if you're happy not to worry about your personal space, Penelope would like to come home with you! This little lady is looking for a home with or without another medium or large canine companion and children aged 10 years and over.
Penelope has spent some time in a foster home, where she has started learning how to 'sit', 'drop' and 'roll over'. She is mastering the skill of sleeping in a crate and will happily settle all night. She is an avid collector of toys, though she sometimes forgets where she stashes them! She loves to play in water and would do anything for belly rubs. She travels excellently in the car and she is easy to walk on the lead.
Penelope is a special needs dog as she has epilepsy. Her condition is managed by daily medication and this has not seemed to slow her down! As she LOVES treats, a tablet in some cheese and it's as easy as that!
Penelope is an absolutely fabulous girl and she is a staff favourite at GAP. If you think Penelope may suit your lifestyle, please contact us on (03) 5799 0166, email gap@grv.org.au or message us through Pet Rescue!

Adoption details
GAP is committed to ensuring that all of its greyhounds are adopted into homes that are well suited to the greyhound and the new owners. While GAP will always strive to achieve a perfect match from the outset, all adoptions are subject to a three-week trial period. This means that if the greyhound is not a good fit for the home, the greyhound can be returned to GAP for a full refund of the adoption fee during the trial period. Further, GAP provides a life time return policy, which means that any GAP greyhound can be returned to GAP any anytime during its life should the adopter not be able to keep it.
So if you are thinking about getting a pet dog, please consider giving one of our beautiful retired greyhounds a home.
