About Pineapple & Poppy
Pineapple & Poppy are two beautiful girls who came to us from a hoarding situation. Unfortunately, this meant they missed out on vital human interaction and as a result they are both scared and timid. Regardless, they are both incredibly sweet girls who just need to find the right home.
The perfect home for Pineapple & Poppy would be one that is quiet where they can gradually learn that humans are not so bad after all. With patience and some TLC these two girls will blossom into amazing companions. As their personalities develop, it's important to note that there should be no children or other canines in the home.
From their foster home -
These two spicy possums have blossomed during foster care. They love to play and nap together, they really are the best of siblings. Poppy has the softest fur, and really enjoys her pats and cuddles (especially when she's up high on a table).
Pineapple is the brave explorer - she enjoys exploring where ever you are. She's not keen on pats yet, but we think she'll get there with a patient adopter who can read cat body language. These two are the perfect package. A great mix of silly kitten energy, lovable goofiness, and adorable floofiness.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
