About Riku
Riku is a quiet and reserved pup who gets along with other dogs but doesn’t mind spending time by himself- he will happily put himself to bed in his crate when his social battery needs recharging, or can be found sunbathing in the garden to pass the hours.
He has a beautiful grin that he will show you when he is excited- his smile and wiggly bottom will make anyone’s day. His constantly wagging tail is a force to be reckoned with, and you’ll hear him before you see him as it whacks into whatever is in its path.
He is very switched on and eager to learn, and has already settled into crate training, with toilet training nearly mastered. He has been exposed to cats in his foster home and has been very gentle during his encounters with them.
He is a sweet and timid boy who needs a home where he will receive encouragement to come out of his shell and explore the world. He has been exposed to harnesses and leads but needs further training to feel comfortable walking on lead.
Due to his timid nature, Riku is best suited to a home without children- and while he does love playing with other dogs, he would benefit from either being the only pup in the home, or living with a gentle and calm dog, to allow him to develop confidence and create an incredible bond with his new family.
Riku will benefit from some training and lots of love, so if you think you can provide that, please fill out an application form at https://www.all4pawsdogrescue.com.au/forms.html and the carer will contact you if you're suitable for this special boy!

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**
Due to an anticipated high volume of applications the adoption process is outlined below:
1. You must complete our Adoption Application Form by following the link to our website: https://www.all4pawsdogrescue.com.au/forms.html NOT THE PET RESCUE ENQUIRY BUTTON
2. Include as much information as possible and it is never a case of "first in best dressed" when we are choosing the most appropriate new home. Matching an animal with a family is based on lifestyle, family members, attitudes to pet ownership and the personality of the pet.
3. Due to the number of applications we receive all correspondence is through email and if your application is short listed we will either call you to discuss it further and possible invite you to a meet and greet.
