About Willow
Willow is only 8 months old.
She was born on the streets and lived in a drain - scavenging for food and drinking the dirty window washing water at the local petrol station.
She was noticed by the kind owners of a nearby pizza shop, who fed her for weeks while they looked for someone to rescue her (someone they could be sure would not euthanase her). This is where we stepped in.
Willow literally walked into the cat trap because she was so desperate for food. She then sat visibly trembling while she waited for whatever was next for her. Luckily 'next' was foster care where she was desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and now has unlimited access to clean water and food.
She has a choice of inside, or outside in a cat enclosure, and she definitely prefers outside. Living inside is just not intuitive or comfortable for her yet because she's still so incredibly scared of humans.
But her 'flight' response is slowly lessening and she is beginning to return a 'slow blink' during meal times.
She also LOVES to nap in the sun, which is a completely new experience for her because she's always needed to hide during day time.
Willow needs a home where she can be kept safe, and be sure of food, water and shelter for the rest of her life. A rural property with a barn, would be ideal.
We're unsure if she will ever want to come inside & snuggle on the couch, but we have seen many times how kindness and patience can change the life of a young cat like Willow.
