Mattydara has a lovely luscious short coat, it feels like velvet when you run your fingers through it. He’s almost fluffy. Very therapeutic to give him a massage to for both human and pup.

He is patient and smart and loves to sit for a treat. He loves pats and cuddles and being appreciated. The words good boy make his eyes shine. He loves to be with you and to watch over you.

When MattyDara arrived in care he was underweight, hungry and jumpy. With lots of food he now understands that he won’t won’t be hungry ever again. He isn’t jumping much at all now, only when overexcitement reigns over his brain. MattyDara gets extremely excited at meal time. He dances and runs circles in front of me when I put him to bed. He sits for his food.

Toys, cows hooves and treats are some of his favourite things.

MattyDara has met and socialised with lots of well mannered dogs whilst in care.
MattyDara has met out cat Shadow through the wire. At first he was terrified of her; now he licks her through the wire with a happy waggy tail. Slow onlead introduction would be good for both him and your cat. He doesn’t appear to be interested in hurting, still confused in what a cat is, kind of?!

It would be great if MattyDara were to be adopted by someone who is patient and passionate about training. Whilst MattyDara has a wide and varied list of words he knows, understands and responds to he needs to attend ongoing socialisation and obedience training. He won’t be hard to train, he loves treats and praise; he’s extremely responsive he wants you to be happy with him

His lead training is minimal but they don’t take long
