Rehome your pet via PetRescue
We understand that the decision to find a new home for your beloved pet is a difficult one. There are many emotions involved for both the family and the pet. Home2Home is for people like you. You care about your pet but for circumstances out of your control must find a new home for your dear family member.
PetRescue wants to help make the process as smooth as possible. We want to allow you, as the owner, to have control over the adoption process. After all, you know your pet best!
What is Home2Home?
Home2Home allows you, as the person who knows your pet the best, to take control of the adoption process.
With Home2Home, you can put your pet directly in front of the 30,000 potential adopters that visit PetRescue.com.au daily, while your pet continues to stay at home with you until they find a new home.
Home2Home provides the support and tools you need to speak to potential adopters directly, select a human that’s the best match for your pet, and allows your pet to smoothly transition from your home to their new one. Learn more about why we started Home2Home.
*Note - Adoption fees are not received by owners for pets rehomed via the Home2Home program. This fee goes directly into supporting PetRescue programs created to keep pets safe, such as Home2Home. For more information about the adoption fee, feel free to get in touch with the PetRescue team.

What is a Safety Net Fee?
A safety net fee provides an additional assurance that your pet will be safe, even if the adoption doesn't work out. A safety net rescue group in your area is in place if the adoption falls through and you are unable to take back your pet. The fee goes to the safety net group in your area.
*Note: The safety net fee is currently ‘pay what you can’, however, if you’re experiencing financial hardship, please let us know in the owner support form below. The PetRescue team recommends a minimum of $50 taking into consideration expenses that a rescue group may incur while taking in a new pet, including vet bills, food and medication.
