No paws for thought needed on seniors search
Being a great listener is crucial to maintaining a good relationship, and the PetRescue team couldn’t agree more.
And that’s why when we were sent an email from an animal lover named Ingrid, who had adopted two senior cats after finding them on the PetRescue site, well we sat up and listened.
“I have been accessing your page for a while now and keep a watch on the cats needing homes,” wrote Ingrid.
“It used to be possible to search for ‘Senior’ cats, but this function has now disappeared. I adopted two senior cats - ages 14 and 18 - last year in July through PetRescue and want to be able to identify older cats without having to trawl through lots of younger ones.
“One of my darlings has since passed away, and I am looking for a companion for the other one. Is it possible for you to reinstate this search function?”
Well we didn’t really need to paws for thought after receiving this feedback! In fact, we immediately realised that the search functionality Ingrid mentioned had been removed after a recent website upgrade. So our IT team set to work to get our senior cats search functionality back up and functioning properly.
The bottom line is that PetRescue is dedicated to saving lives, and we’re committed to doing everything in our power to make our website the best it can be. So if you have any feedback about our site, or any improvements you think would be helpful to potential adopters in finding a new family member, please drop us a line at info@petrescue.org.au. It would be purrfect to hear from you!
