We’ve just launched a new, improved postcode filter that will make sure your pets appear in the right search results by location and stand a better chance of reaching more potential adopters and finding the perfect home. It means that, in cases where a postcode spans two or more states, your pets will appear in the search results for that postcode.
So, how does the new tool work?
When you add a new pet profile or update an existing one, simply type in the postcode of the area where the pet is located (in foster care or kennels) and then select the correct suburb from the drop-down list.
What location info will be visible to the public?
Your address, or the address of your foster carers, will not be visible to the public. The new postcode selector tool, and the location you specify for each pet is only visible in the Members Admin area. The information you enter will simply be used to generate more accurate search results when a potential adopter enters their own state and/or postcode and specifies a search area radius.
The end result?
More exact search results for potential adopters. More exact matches for your pets. It’s a win-win!
The new Postcode Selector Tool was rolled out on Thursday 28th April 2016. If you have any further questions or queries, please email members@petrescue.org.au
