Changes to Photo Uploading
To speed up the photo uploading task for our members, we've changed the process slightly.
When you upload a photo to PetRescue now, you'll see a thumbnail icon with the PetRescue icon and the text 'Processing...' underneath it appear (see example image to the right). This is normal, and means that the image processing (resizing for the different uses on the PetRescue site, and archiving for use in print media) has been handed off to a queue to be completed.
This image processing is normally completed with a minute or two, but it may take slightly longer during peak periods when many members are uploading photos at the same time.
When you see this 'Processing...' image display, you can continue to add additional photos to the pet listing, create/manage additional listings, or leave the PetRescue website - you do not have to stay on this page until the image appears. However if you want to be sure the image has been processed correctly, after a minute or two you can refresh the page and you should see the correct photo thumbnail displayed.
Changing a Primary Listing Photo
When you have multiple pet photos for a listing, you may sometimes want to change which picture is the 'primary' photo - the one that shows in search results, in people's Favourites lists, and the large photo on the pet's listing page.
This can now be easily accomplished by editing the pet listing, and clicking on the photo that you'd like to make the primary photo.
