By using PetRescue Ltd ABN 35123057536's Home2Home program (“H2H”), you indicate your confirmation, acceptance and agreement to the H2H Terms and Conditions, the terms of the PetRescue Privacy Policy, Terms of Use of PetRescue.com.au and any other terms present on our website.

You are at least 18 years of age and eligible to use H2H.
Ownership - Owner

According to all applicable laws and statutes in your state, you are the legal owner or guardian of the pet you are submitting to H2H.
Ownership - Adopter

To the best of your knowledge and belief, no person residing in your household, or who will care for the pet, is disqualified from keeping animals and/or has a conviction for offences relating to animals.

In the event that the pet adoption does not work out, you will make every reasonable effort to rehome the pet responsibly if it cannot return to the original owner.

If the pet owner asks you to pay any money outside of the PetRescue website, you are to alert us to this immediately by emailing home2home@petrescue.org.au
Rehoming

The PetRescue website and H2H are a tool to help you find a new home for your pet. PetRescue makes no warranties or guarantees that it will be successful in helping you find your pet a home, or regarding any of its services whatsoever.

You are solely responsible for all communication with potential adopters, and all decisions relating to choosing a new owner for your pet.

Any guidance provided through H2H is an attempt to assist you to rehome your pet. PetRescue is not liable in any way to anyone for any outcome as a result of any guidance provided. The guidance provided is only general in nature and you take full responsibility for all decisions and outcomes relating to rehoming your pet.

The PetRescue Membership Code of Ethics is applicable to you and your pet under these Terms and Conditions.
Your pet - Owner

Your pet has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated (within the last 3 years) prior to being listed on PetRescue.

Your pet has not been classified as dangerous by yourself or any other person, be that an individual or entity. Your pet has not caused the death of any human or animal. Your pet has not bitten a human prior to entering H2H.

You have fully disclosed all and any behavioural or health issues your pet may have, without exceptions. You understand that failure to disclose known issues may result in your pet being ineligible for H2H and being removed from H2H if previously listed.
Pet details - Adopter

Any information concerning the health, temperament and condition of the pet is passed on by the owner to H2H and you in good faith. This information has been provided to assist with the adoption process and successful adoption of the pet. PetRescue cannot guarantee that this information is correct despite making every reasonable effort to do so. You may choose to have the pet independently examined by a veterinarian prior to adoption to ensure any other issues are highlighted before adoption.
Pet Listings

You have been truthful and accurate in all the information provided about yourself and your pet in your listing on PetRescue, in offline activities and in communication with potential adopters.

By supplying photographs for your pet’s listing in H2H, you provide consent for these images to be used for H2H and other promotional and fundraising purposes by PetRescue.
Meet and Greet

You are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of your pet while it is in your care.

You will use the appropriate care and caution when exchanging information and arranging meet and greets with potential adopters.

PetRescue has no control over the meet and greet scenarios with potential adopters and you release PetRescue from all liability whatsoever in regard to such meetings.
Adoption

All adoption fees collected will be paid to PetRescue who will use the fee towards the development and support of PetRescue’s lifesaving programs, such as H2H and you will receive no part of these fees.

By listing your pet on PetRescue via the H2H, you will complete the full adoption process through H2H. If you complete the adoption outside H2H, you forfeit all fees, benefits and support related to the program.

You will provide any and all records to the adopter prior to adoption, including but not limited to medical, vaccine, proof of desexing, and microchip paperwork.

To the extent permitted by law, PetRescue accepts no responsibility for all and any loss, liability, injury or damage to any person or property whatsoever caused by a pet listed through H2H.
