About Cheryl Ann Perry Foundation
We started taking on rescues in 2009, by helping a complete stranger who had some dogs that needed a new home.
Everyone falls on hard times through no fault of their own, stuff happens. We adopted our first three rescues a Blue Cattle Dog who needed some TLC and a Border Collie along with a Labrador crossed with Dingo, their owners had lost their home in a fire and were moving into units and sadly their pets had to be re-homed, so we took them on.
Our love for all animals started from a very early age with our very first dog that was the most faithful Doberman, from then it was horse’s they were either Warmblood, Ex-Race Horses, or Standardbred’s, then it was Parrots and snakes, you can say we have been lucky to be able to have so many different types of pets, they just make the world a better place. The only animal we have not fostered is a Kangaroo instead we raised a wombat, until he was able to be released back in to the wild
One of our goals is just be there around the corner for when you need that helping hand, kind of like that relative nobody wants but everybody needs just that once in their life. Kind of like that big brother an only child wishes he or she could of had growing up. Well, that is us, a big brother to that dog running completely lost up and down the street confused and completely alone and baffled to why his owner left him on the side of the road.
That big brother to a dog in a government run pound that is scared lost and alone and misunderstood who is lashing out in fear and is looking like he is going to be euthanized, we want to give that dog his second chance his third or even his fourth.
