About
A not for profit foster based rescue based in Cairns working with abandoned, neglected and abused animals. We take animals from other remote rescue organisations, local pounds, abandoned pets, dumped pets and private surrenders. We place these animals in suitable foster homes and get them their required vet work and provide love, stability and training to ensure they are ready for a forever home.
Adoption details
All our dogs are loved members of our rescue and their foster family. Finding them the perfect forever home is important for the animal and of course any potential new family.
We ask you read the profile and assess the suitability of the animal to your home; now and in the future. If you feel this could be the dog for you we require you to contact our team with any questions or to arrange a meet and greet with the dog and foster carer. Foster carers know the dog better than anyone and are able to answer any questions about the nature or personality of their foster dog.
*Once you have met with the dog and all parties are happy to proceed with an adoption an application form needs to be completed and returned. A yard/home check is done by one of our team to ensure a safe environment is available for the dog. In the instance this cannot be done we will require photographs of the yard showing secure fenced areas and areas providing shelter for the dog be returned with your application.
On approval of your application you will be invoiced. Once payment is made and proof of payment is received you are clear to arrange a mutually agreeable time with the foster carer pick up your new family member or best friend.
We have a 14 day cooling off period. Please discuss this with our team for more information.
*Interstate/Out of town adoptions welcome but a phone interview/discussion with the foster carer is required in place of the meet & greet. Transport of animal & crate hire is at the adopters expense but we will assist with transfers ie: to airport/transport company etc.
