POUND Rescue Inc is a private rescue group which saves dogs and cats from death row in pounds across NSW, and sometimes QLD and the ACT.

All our rescued animals are desexed, microchipped and up to date with their vaccinations and worming. They are placed in foster care where they are loved, cared for and kept safe until they find their forever home. Where necessary we engage animal behaviourists and other experts to assist with training or rehabilitation.

POUND Rescue Inc. is registered with the Australian Charities & Not for Profit Commission as an animal protection charity. We also have Deductible Gift Recipient status from the ATO. Any donation of $2 or more is tax deductible. We are a foster based organsiation run entirely by volunteers from our homes. We do not have the overheads of kennels, or an office or employees/salaries. All donations therefore, go directly to the animals.

Because of the Coronavirus situation we are receiving an unprecedented number of enquiries. We are just a small group of people and are still working hard to get dogs and cats out of pounds and to safety as well as answer enquiries about animals we already have in care. We try and answer all enquiries asap but are all volunteers, so we thank you for your patience.

If an animal is adopted inter-state we can help organise transport . The cost of transport is paid by the adopting family.

All our animals are desexed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Our adoption fee covers our basic costs.
