About PetRescue

PetRescue is a not-for-profit organisation that finds new homes for abandoned and unwanted pets. We are the largest online searchable directory of rescue pets in Australia and to date we have saved 22,739 animals.

Every day there are thousands of happy, healthy animals waiting in rescues for a second chance. PetRescue makes it easy for potential adopters to find and save a rescue animal by bringing their information to the one place, and with over 400 rescues and shelters listing their available pets we have every chance of helping you find your new best friend.

But still every year over 160,000 unwanted pets are killed in Australia.

PetRescue is working to put rescue pets into the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way, that killing healthy, adoptable animals becomes completely unacceptable in Australia.

We have always and will continue to provide our services free to rescue organisations and rely on donations, internet advertising and the generous support of Logic Networks to cover our large data and infrastructure costs.

With the charismatic Wil Anderson as a celebrity supporter, wide media interest and over 20,000 animal lovers subscribing to our e-newsletter, PetRescue is working hard towards the day when there are no more homeless pets and we are no longer needed.
