About Holly (On trial 23/12/14) ~ Staffy x Ridgeback pup
Holly is a female, 8 week old, Staffy x Ridgeback puppy. She is such a sweet girl, and very social with an affectionate nature and eager to please. She is a very clever girl and already sits for her dinner. She adores attention and getting belly rubs and head scratches.
Holly is very well socialised, by being brought up with children of all ages and other animals. She would fit into a family home perfectly and is great with other dogs and puppies. She hasn't met a cat but she is young enough to learn how to behave around them.
We always recommend puppy training classes to ensure our puppies learns good manners. Training is especially important as she will grow up to be a large dog. Holly loves her food and will be easily trained with food rewards. She needs a someone who will enjoy taking her to training classes and including her in outings and other activities. Being a puppy she is still learning toilet training and continued positive reinforcement is required to ensure she becomes toilet trained when she is physically able.
Due to Holly’s young age she will require company from either her human family or from another dog as young pups like her cannot be left alone for long periods of time. Holly also needs to sleep inside at least, until she is fully grown (and preferably all her life), and we always recommend inside time family to ensure she feels loved by her family.
Holly will be ready to go to her forever home on or after 23/12/12 but you can meet her sooner. She is available for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. She is not available for interstate adoption. Holly is in foster care in Ellalong, NSW (near Cessnock).
Holly is a gentle little soul willing to please and patiently waiting for a forever family of her very own. If you feel you would be a wonderful loving forever home for this lovely girl please contact her foster carer Daisy by email only: daisy.mae1145@gmail.com
Holly's adoption fee is only $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
