About Hugo (on trial 23/12/14)~ Staffy x Ridgeback puppy
Hugo is a male, 8 week old, Staffy x Ridgeback puppy. He is a quiet little man with a sweet nature and is eager to please. He would make a loyal companion as he constantly running to his foster family for attention and to check we are ok. Hugo is a calm puppy; he is very laid back and cuddly. He adores attention and getting belly rubs and head scratches.
Hugo is very well socialised, by being brought up with children of all ages and other animals. He would fit into a family home perfectly and is great with other dogs and puppies. He hasn't met a cat but is young enough that he can learn how to behave around them.
We always recommend puppy training classes to ensure our puppies learns good manners. Training is especially important as he will grow up to be a large dog. Hugo loves his food and will be easily trained with food rewards. He needs a someone who will enjoy taking him to training classes and including him in outings and other activities. Being a puppy he is still learning toilet training and continued positive reinforcement is required to ensure he becomes toilet trained when he is physically able.
Due to Hugo’s young age he will require company from either his human family or from another dog as young pups like him cannot be left alone for long periods of time. Hugo also needs to sleep inside at least, until he is fully grown (and preferably all his life), and we always recommend inside time family to ensure he feels loved by his family.
Hugo will be ready to go to his forever home on or after 23/12/12 but you can meet him sooner. He is available for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. He is not available for interstate adoption. Hugo is in foster care in Ellalong, NSW (near Cessnock).
Hugo is a gentle little soul willing to please and patiently waiting for a forever family of his very own. If you feel you would be a wonderful loving forever home for this handsome boy please contact his foster carer Daisy by email only: daisy.mae1145@gmail.com

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
