About Lexie
*lexie is currently trialling her new home now* wow what a stunner lexie is with her coat of many colours and those amazing eyes that suck you right in!!! \ and then there are those ears which we’re hoping our little fruit-bat will grow into one day!!! all-in-all she’s definitely a head turner!!
rescued from our local pound after being picked up by the ranger while wandering the streets of mildura lexie is a healthy, happy, friendly pup who enjoys cuddles and playing games. Despite her owner not collecting her from the pound lexie reckons humans are awesome and she gets along well with other animals too especially other friendly dogs. Lexie’s a busy little girl with lots of energy and there was no way she was sitting still for photos! breeders describe koolies as being extremely active, intelligent, anxious to please and fun-loving. They also make good watchdogs as they are not aggressive but they will bark to alert their owners. Breeders say they are good with small children. The koolie breed is one of the oldest breeds of working dogs in australia. While in care lexie will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” as well as learning to walk on a lead as she’s hasn’t had much experience with any of this. Being an intelligent koolie x lexie responds well to food rewards so hopefully that should help with her training. As lexie is only a young puppy she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing and toys to keep her stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Lexie would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup. If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up this busy little pup then please contact sarg for an application now!!
