About Pippa
Pippa is a sensational young dog. She is young and bouncy but has a very intelligent and sensible mind, a kind and loving temperament and naturally good manners. She has lived with children and is very social with other dogs and seems to be safe with cats. She walks well on a leash and knows sit and stay and has good recall. Pippa recently spent a weekend doing some beginners usar training and did very well, so might suit someone interested in formal obedience or other dog sports. She is energetic so will need a home committed to providing her with lots of exercise, so if you're a runner or hiker she would make a terrific companion. Pippa is a large dog so her best home will be one with some experience of bigger dogs, but her kind nature means she will fit happily into most situations provided she is offered consistent leadership. She will need to be allowed to be a part of your family, inside and outside and will not do well as an outside only dog. She is house-trained and her soft, curly coat is relatively low-shedding. Curly coated retrievers are typically active, intelligent dogs, so if you are interested in pippa, please think about whether you are going to be able to offer her the level of exercise and training she will require. At a minimum she will need two walks a day, or a walk and a good run off-lead. As a working retriever she will also need a commitment to giving her a job to do, whether that is obedience training or another outlet for her intelligence. ***please make sure you read the next section about applying to adopt***
