About Maybelle
Maybelle is an active barker who is able to detect faint noises in the night and during the day, she really has super hearing.
She came to the rescue in a terrible condition and is now ready to find her forever home, where she can be actively part of a child free experienced home.
We don't always know every Dobermann's history, and are careful not to make false claims when we truly don't know history. Maybelle has been with us for a few months and whose been a loyal and trustworthy soul under our routine, consistent and clear communication and commands.
Maybelle is crate trained, walks well on the lead, is not dog reactive, nor is she a nuisance or excessive barker given correct guidance, raw food, and an exacting level of pack structure.
She loves cuddling and food! and is about to start her weight loss regimen now that she's had a complete rehabilitation program in hydrotherapy muscle management and excessive ear mite infestations attended to. The condition she arrived in saddened us, and we were disgusted at how anyone could treat her in such a way.
A lovely short coat, shiny and lush with colour, her health gut microbiomes and nervous system are all firing and she's ready to continue trekking and longer walks in the bush, around suburbs and in and amongst beaches. She's happiest in the sun, and loves laying out in it, with adequate shelter and fresh pH-balanced water in ceramic bowls, changed every day. Maybelle will only be homed to an experienced Dobermann home who can offer her a forever position in their pack.
Her needs include routine, raw food, goat milk and lamb bones, thick mattresses for restful sleeping, a washing and cleaning regimen using F10 disinfectant, washable covers, doggy towels and blankets and toys included in her transition pack including a crate to the right home.
She's lived with other small and large dogs, however we really want her to have her own human and not always be in second place.
We're excited to see her meet potential homes. With a nose for good people, the choice is ultimately hers and hers alone.

Adoption details
We have an adoption process which refers to the questions in each Dobermann's profile.
The questions will help you understand each Dobermann's need across the areas of care of importance whilst in care with us and for their ongoing maintenance in your home.
After considering these against your work, family and lifestyle schedule, please send a message via Pet Rescue Messaging. We'd love to hear from you.
Our process is straightforward.
We follow up on your PetRescue message with a phone call appointment (scheduled) to discuss your interest and build a working relationship with you.
We look forward to highlighting your Dobermann of interest and can present other Dobermanns who may be a more suitable fit.
A follow-up phone call/video call to answer your questions (usually after 5 pm on weekdays or by arrangement on weekends) after you've had time to consider all Dobermanns.
Our selection criteria are clear and transparent.
We will do a home check before we approve the adoption and further communications via phone call/facetime to finalise any outstanding questions you or we may have.
A veterinary referee or a professional referee is needed.
We will ask for your vet's name and contact details as a reference, plus other supporting documents, including rental housing approval at your current address from your leasing agent or landlord for a large breed dog.
Once we approve the adoption, the adoption fee, associated documentation and adoption contract are finalised, ownership transfer is forwarded to you and supporting veterinary records are sent to your vet.
Our commitment.
We remain supportive and accessible to you and your Dobermann under the adoption program, with open, transparent, practical support and solutions when you need us.
