About Miss Louie
Need a hug? This beautiful 6-month-old border collie x is super affectionate, loves kids and is ready to meet her forever family.
Louie is a very special girl and absolutely nobody can walk past her without wanting to give her a pat. She has become somewhat of a local celebrity in the area where she is being fostered as she is always so happy to greet everyone with a hug or a smile.
Perhaps you would like an exercise partner? Like all working dogs, her energy level requires a minimum of a long morning and evening walk and an active day with the family is even better. She is still in puppy mode which means her curiosity to explore and chew items she finds around the home is part of her weekly adventures. She loves playing with dogs of a similar size and a gentle nature, walks well on-leash and is learning recall off-leash. Between walkies, Louie loves to play soccer either on her own or with a human friend, have snooze on the couch or any other comfy place on offer.
Being a working dog, she can jump high, therefore she must have secure fencing and her new family must be committed to her ongoing training. It is best Louie not be rehomed with any chickens - free roaming or otherwise. Her ideal family must have experience with working dog breeds, include her in their weekly routine and live in a house with a garden of reasonable size. Kids would ideally be of age 10 + due to her eagerness to play and give excitable cuddles.
She travels well in the car, loves to swim and rarely barks. Louie’s foster family have a dog that she snuggles and plays with, but she would also be fine as the only dog as long as she is socialised. Are you a good match for Miss Louie and if so, please send us an informative email about your family, lifestyle, other pets, and experience with dogs to sasrescue@gmail.com
