About Freckle (with his bonded sister FiFi)
Be sure to check out his sister FiFi’s listing too and then you get to see more photos and videos of this gorgeous pair. We want them to stay together as they are always together, even curling up to sleep on top of each other. Freckle is more shy towards human touch, but that definitely doesn’t mean he doesn’t crave love or attention! He follows Fifi’s confident lead and once he sees her doing something, he slowly learns that there’s nothing to be scared of! Where one goes, the other is usually not far behind.
They have both really blossomed with their foster parents (a young couple). It wasn't that long ago that they were two little kittens living with their extended family (mum, aunt and juvenile cousins) in the garden of a kind man in Sydney's Inner West. Apparently their mum and her sister were left abandoned when a neighbour moved out, and of course they weren't desexed. The kind man, with guidance from a local rescuer, took in the 2 mums and their 5 kittens and kept them safe inside and arranged for them to all be desexed and vaccinated. They are now in a loving home with foster parents who have taken the time to give them an enriched environment with lots of playthings and cat towers and tunnels. And their foster mummy even sings to them before sleep to calm them down and get in the last pats of the day. Spoilt very much indeed...
Their foster mummy says: Freckle has ALOT of character, he always looks a little bit shocked or curious and sometimes his meows start to sound like howls. He’s a very vocal little boy who loves to climb, do backflips, and he is ALWAYS down for food and play time. I’ve seen him jump a metre into the air and sometimes after a lot of play time, you’ll see him start to pant (like a dog)! Very playful with other cats and will try to initiate play time, even when other cats say no, he’s just too persistent and cute not to play with.
He can scare easily and does take some time to warm up, he will need a loving home where he is allowed to blossom and gain confidence with a lot of patience, food, and toys at his own pace. If given time and love, this sweet boy is sure to return your affection and love. Once he warms up to pats, he will often flop to his side and look at you upside down with a lot of love and play with your fingers (never scratching).
Human friendly (adults. Untested on children)
Cat friendly (Freckle is also affectionate with their big beautiful male cat, greeting each other with head butts. Freckle and the foster parents cat will play and chase each other around.) Freckle may initiate play but then run and hide at first but it’s just him learning that he will be okay and play is just play!
They haven't met a dog yet but their cat is the size of a small dog, so they are definitely used to pets bigger than them!
Very vocal
Very sweet
Very playful
Powerful jumpers
These kittens are super adorable so no doubt will generate lots of interest.
Medical notes
Desexed, vaccinated F3 and microchipped at the first vet visit and there were no detected health conditions. Up to date with flea and worm treatments and will have a booster vaccination F3 prior to adoption trial.
Is a rescue kitten but we know a lot about them because their extended family have also been rescued. They all seem very healthy.
