About Diesel DL2908
Don't you love dogs with character? Diesel has it in spades!
He is well behaved when left alone, but is always excited to see you return. He gets all wiggly and chatty and loves to catch you up on his day! If you happen to work from home, he is happy to rest on the couch or his bed while you're busy and doesn't make a fuss.
Diesel has excellent manners in the home and is very obedient. He knows cues like sit, lay down, paw, and will sit & wait for his food when asked. He is a good watchdog and will bark to let you know if you have a visitor; once they're invited in, he will say hi and look for a pat.
His little quirks are very endearing. He will occasionally sing along to emergency services sirens, not every time, but it's super cute! He is a bit scared of hard floors and will dash between rugs, especially while he's still getting used to it. If you (like me!) are a big kid who runs and leaps into bed after switching off the light to avoid monsters, then you'll know what it's like!
Diesel walks well on the lead and enjoys his walks. He will even stop before crossing the road when asked. He especially loves reading messages left by other dogs and leaving his response... Which he does with great enthusiasm, so funny to watch!
He can be selective with dogs and strangers on walks; some he doesn't like as much as others, so you'll need to take it slow with introductions to help with his social skills. He is good at crossing the road to pass other dogs if needed. Best with no cats. He is friendly with children who visit, but is happiest with teens and adults in the home.
Diesel is such a good dog, anyone who meets him is surprised he hasn't been adopted yet. Now is your chance! Contact DFL today to apply.
Medical notes
At approx. 20-25kg, Diesel is a medium sized adult dog.
