About Katara DL2901
Katara is a gorgeous, loving dog looking for an extra special home.
She is low energy and likes to sleep a lot of the day. She is a smart girl and quite easy to train with treats. She is very loveable and great company in the house.
Katara loves her trusted humans and is very sweet with them. Strangers are scary and she reacts out of fear. Introductions to new people need to be taken slowly and carefully. For this reason, she will suit an experienced dog owner and a quiet home without a lot of comings and goings.
She’s been working on branching out with her carer and now enjoys short walks to the park & can pass strangers from a distance. She is a predominately indoor dog and needs a secure property to keep her safe and sound at home.
Once she’s had a chance to settle in & bond with you, she’s happy to stay home snoozing on the couch or her bed while you’re out, just leave the tv or radio on for her. A smart dog, she already knows cues like ‘sit', ‘wait’ (for her food), ‘lie down’, ‘on your bed', ‘off’, and ‘no’. And she’s currently working on ‘away’ and ‘leave it’.
She hasn’t had a lot of opportunities to meet other dogs yet, as they’re usually with their people, but she’d likely go ok with the dogs after a slow introduction. She isn’t suited to kids, but does very well sharing her current home with a cat.
If you’d love to welcome the beautiful Katara into your life, contact DFL today to apply.
Medical notes
Katara has allergies to some foods but is doing well on her current diet with no reaction, so her carer will provide you with the details of her diet to maintain her good health.
