About Ally
Meet Ally! A kelpie mix who is loyal and sweet and is now ready to find her forever family!
Ally is looking for a sidekick who will help her continue to adjust to the good life, she arrived in quite the state with fly bitten ears, etc and scared of the world. It was clear that Ally didn’t know much beyond the yard she had lived in. Thanks to her foster carer, Ally has now learnt some of the basics and is now a happy, confident girl who loves to hang out with her doggy pals which is why another dog in the home of similar size is an absolute must. Ally likes to go on walks but can be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the inner city so we feel a more suburban home where she can enjoy quiet walks is best for her.
Ally’s ideal home would be one without kids, however dog savvy teens would be considered, and experience with shy dogs would certainly be a bonus. She requires daily exercise and must have access inside as she pleases as this girl likes cuddling up on the couch. Ally will need ongoing socialisation and training as whilst she has made huge strides in her foster home, she needs continued help in building her confidence. Her coat is short and soft and will require the occasional brush and bath but is fairly low maintenance.
Ally is a healthy girl and whilst she does have mild hip dysplasia in her right hip, and mild-to- moderate hip dysplasia in her left hip this is not causing her issues at the moment. Ally's new owner will need to ensure that she does not become overweight, and that she has a good diet/supplements for her joints. She must also be monitored with her daily exercise i.e. no walking for over an hour or so. A home with no stairs or limited stairs and a daily swim would also be beneficial for Ally.
All in all, Ally is so very sweet and longs for a family that will shower her with love and affection. If you are interested in meeting our super sweet girl please email us at sasrescue@gmail.com with the information on the home you can provide for Ally.
