About Roxy DL2597
Roxy is very attentive and eager to please. She likes cuddling, being close to her humans and close to the action.
She enjoys joining you on car rides for outings. She has been pleasant and non-reactive to dogs that she has met on lead. She has also been friendly meeting kids on lead and hasn't reacted when passing cats. She can be a bit avoidant of strangers at first, but soon warms up.
Roxy is a clever girl and follows cues such as wait, sit, stay, down, and shake! She requires reinforcement of some boundaries in the home but is learning quickly. In her past life, she was overfed human food and became overweight. She is picky with food, but beginning to eat her own meals and learning not to beg for yours.
Roxy likes to stay out of the heat, so suits being a mostly indoor dog and exercising in the cool of the day. Roxy sleeps through the night indoors with no accidents and is happy to be left indoors for a while during the day. As she doesn't love being alone long hours, she would be a perfect match for part time workers, WFH, or even going to work with you.
Roxy loves being involved in all your activities and adventures and will especially love being active with you once recovered from her ACL surgery. While she is recovering, she will need to relax, so will best suit a quieter home without young kids and pets.
Roxy is a lovable dog who can wait to share all her love with you! If you'd like to meet Roxy, email DFLadoption@gmail.com today to apply.
Medical notes
Roxy sustained an ACL injury requiring repair and rehabilitation. The cost of her surgery will be covered by the rescue while she is in foster care.
