About Elsa
Hello my name is Lady Elsa. I am a lady with CATTITUDE. I will often seek human companionship but please do not touch unless one is invited to do so.
I would Like to be the only cat in the house where I can show you all my love.
Meet Elsa, a whole lot of spice with a smidgen of nice but she is simply beautiful. Elsa is not a kid’s cat as she can not be picked up and requires someone who understands cat body language. She loves to sit next to you for company but sudden movements will have her react negatively, so a slow approach and lots of talking with this lady works.
Elsa is an elegant cat who enjoys time on her own but has made a lot of progress recently with her foster family and is becoming far more accepting of human attention. However she still is learning and will always be learning to accept the love she desperately seeks and deserves.
Elsa came into rescue addicted to the smell and possibly to the second hand smoke from cigarettes. We have spent a considerable amount of time in rehabilitation with her, using a desensitization method of having smokers visit her and reducing the time she is exposed. She was very aggressive and had a lack of appetite. She is still adjusting to her new healthy lifestyle but to keep with this we would rather she be kept in a non smoking environment.
Would you like to have this striking lady in your life? Enquire today for a meet and greet!
Medical notes
Elsa. came into us with an “addiction” to second hand cigarette smoke.
After much rehabilitation that included desensitising her to cigarette smoke, she will now be around humans that don't smoke.
We think that she will be best suited to a non smoking family who understands that if you have visitors that smoke, Elsa may have some issues adjusting to this.
All vet work will be completed before adoption.

Welcome to Small Paws Animal Rescue QLD.
We aim to place each of our animals with the best family possible.
Our adoption process may seem a little complex, we ask a lot of questions. But there are reasons for this.
1. Our animals in care are like our children.
2. We want to match the best humans with the animals to ensure you are happy and our animals are happy.
3. We don't want animals to come back to us. We want their family to be forever.
So our adoption process begins with an application being completed.
Once we receive the application we will assess it on face value of the answers you have provided.
Once we can determine if you sound like a good fit, we will call you to chat a bit further.
This is when we will schedule a meet and greet with your potential new family member/s.
We may need you to have more than one meet, especially if you have other pet/s that need to be introduced or children and other human family members.
We will confer with our foster carer, and advise you as soon as possible if you were successful in your meet and greet.
Once we have confirmed your success, we will arrange for the paperwork to be completed including the adoption payment.
We allow our foster carers time to say goodbye to their foster babies, it can be hard for some to give them to their new homes and we recognise all the hard work and dedication they have put in to ensure that your new family member has been safe and is ready to go to their forever home.
We will keep in contact with you for 2 weeks during a "trial" adoption period. There are terms and conditions to be met and we will advise you of these.
Once the trial period has ended we will send you the paperwork for your new family member.
At any time after this - if you need assistance you can always contact us.
