About Benny ~ 18 month old cat (On Trial 22/12/20)
*Please note: Benny is also looking for a new foster carer or someone interested in fostering him with the view to adopt as he isn’t getting on with the other cat in the house*
Introducing the very handsome Benny! This strikingly good looking boy is between one to two years old and has the most glorious silver coat.
Benny, like many of our rescue cats, has had a rough trot. He was found on the streets of Newcastle fending for himself. He has had to adjust to a pampered indoor life but after being in care Benny has discovered that he rather enjoys having humans around him. Benny loves pats and scratches in his favourite places. He has a sweet little meow and purrs constantly.
Sometimes Benny does get over excited and he can grab with his claws. It is not intentional and just needs a little redirection. Because of this he is best suited to a home without young children or an older owner with frail skin. Benny isn’t keen on other cats but we think he may be okay with a calm dog.
We would love to find him a real “cat person”, who will forgive Benny, if he gets overwhelmed and overstimulated while settling into his new forever home..
Benny loves to play so he needs to find a home who’s willing to schedule in play time and invest in some fun toys - he particularly loves to chase balls so still a real kitten at heart.
Despite becoming a pampered pet, Benny has not lost all of his street cred. You won’t need to buy anymore insect spray with Benny around, he is a phenomenal hunter and he will ensure your home is insect free.
Benny sleeps soundly through the night and now litter trained. His foster carers have been dedicated to teaching him good manners.
Benny seems to be very confident with visitors, running to the front door to check them out and say “hello”. He has come a long way from the stray, street cat who would hide all day.
Benny must be a strictly inside cat which he loves. This boy doesn’t like stepping outside at all!
Benny’s adoption fee is $200 and includes desexing, microchip and vaccination.
