About Angel In Training!
Angel is ready for her furrever home! She's looking for a special human who can carry on her rehabilitation as she's worked so hard to be a lounge cat.
Angel was dumped at the pound. She came to us very angry, hurt and confused. She hated humans and other cats. Slowly, she started to come around and trust her foster carer, but had to stay in her crate due to PTSD and anxiety issues as she would suddenly throw epic tanties and (luckily) crate herself.
We started Angel on a course of Clomicalm to help her get over her anxiety which was so overwhelming she'd act out. It's been the most amazing thing for her, Angel is now out of her crate and there are no more tanties or hisses! She likes to hang out by the window, watching the world go by, explore the living room, examine any food or snacks you might have and just sit watching you!
Angel will accept head pats and is very slowly getting used to full body pats. She's good with visitors and is starting to learn how to play with her Fostfur brother. She'll take biscuits out of your hand and is very food motivated.
She'll need a special home that's nice and quiet where she be herself and chill the day away. Angel needs her medication every morning (but it's easy to crush into her food), but in the future she may be able to come off of it once she's settled and happy. She needs an understanding and very patient human that will let her relax and offer pats as required, and only *very very* friendly cats if you have another.
We're 100% sure that given more time, Angel will be a great fur buddy. There's a loving cat starting to shine through and it's onwards and upwards for this gorgeous little girl. If you are Angel's guardian angel, get in contact with us today!
Angel is a healthy raw fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010001301311, source #RE101165). She is available for adoption right now! Her adoption fee also includes her second vaccination at one of our rescue vets.
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
