About Stilton
Stilton is a 3.5-year-old gentleman with a stylish ear hat.
Stilton has settled in well to life in his foster home. He’s inquisitive, friendly and very sweet, and a little bit shy at time. He likes nothing more than relaxing in the same room as his humans. Stilton spends his days lounging and dozing, with the occasional zoomie thrown into the mix.
Stilton is currently living as an only dog and has limited socialisation with other dogs, however has been friendly with various breeds. He could potentially go into a forever home with another pup (pending introductions to see if they are compatible). However, he is also happy being the centre of his human’s attention. If Stilton has a backyard for his zoomies that would be a bonus but he would also be okay in a smaller home or apartment.
Stilton is building his confidence on walks but can still be a bit nervous in the big, wide world. He does like to explore new smells and environments but finds loud noises (e.g. busy traffic) overwhelming, though he is making gradual progress with this. A home where there are quiet streets nearby for walks would suit him best.
Stilton has not had much experience with children however is generally calm and friendly. He occasionally shows some guarding behaviour with high value treats or toys and finds loud noises a bit scary. For this reason, a home with all adults or older children would be best.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Stilton has not spent much time home alone while in foster care and does get a bit anxious when his foster carers leave. He is not suited to living in a home where he would be left alone for FT working hours, and a new home should be prepared to work on alone-time training with him and build his independence.
If you’d like to welcome Stilton into your home and onto your couch, please contact us at adopt@amazinggreys.com.au.
Before enquiring, please consider:
• What your work and social life will look like as we approach a ‘Covid-normal’
• The time and financial commitments of caring for a forever hound
Medical notes
Stilton has had a partial tail amputation which is healing well and requires no further treatment.
