About Hugo
Hugo MUST be rehomed with another dog.
Please only apply for Hugo if you have another medium/large friendly well adjusted and playful dog.
How gorgeous is this guy? Hugo is super loving and a gentle growing boy ! But he needs your help to find his perfect home. Hugo is only 7 months old and is already 39 kgs!! Hugo had an unfortunate start to life by being separated from his siblings at 5 weeks of age. During his early months he had little socialisation with other dogs and the outside world, but now that he has been with our carer/trainer he has learnt that romping and playing with all size dogs is something he thoroughly enjoys. He has a new lease of life and is now ready for his perfect home.
SAS is looking for a family who are experienced with large breed dogs and they must be committed to ongoing force-free training so that he will continue to grow into a good canine citizen.
Although Hugo is very large (and still growing) he is quite gentle and super loving. He loves all children but we feel it best he be rehomed with older children as he can be quite bouncy! Plus he would tower over the littlies!
Hugo must be rehomed with another young medium-large sized canine companion who is playful, friendly, and well-adjusted and have a secure yard where he can play with his new fur sibling.
Hugo must be permitted access inside the home with his new owner/family and be permitted to sleep inside in a warm area of the night.
If you would like to meet Hugo please send as much information as possible about your experience, working schedule and lifestyle to sasrescue@gmail.com
Medical notes
Hugo will need to be brought back to our vets at Beverly Hills to be desexed when he is approx 12 months of age due to medical reasons - i.e. his growth plates would be affected if desexed early. This is included in the adoption fee.
Adoption details
SAS will arrange a "meet and greet" with our rescue pet and we offer a two week trial period if we feel that the rescue pet and the prospective family are well matched.
