About Charlie π - Assisted Rehome
This beautiful girl is Charlie....she's a Staffy x Kelpie and just 2.5yrs old. Whilst Charlie's mum & dad absolutely adore her, they have realised that the home and lifestyle they are currently providing her, is just not suitable for Charlie. They want her to live the lifestyle she deserves.....
Charlie is a friendly, loving dog at home. She's affectionate, playful, loyal, silly....but obedient. She's also very well trained and never displayed any destructive behaviour like resource guarding, digging or nuisance barking. Charlie is fully toilet trained and never had any accidents inside the home and settles quickly when placed into holiday accomodation. She does not suffer from separation anxiety and completely fine being left alone for up to half a day. She's not an escape artist, but as with all dogs, will need a height appropriate well fenced property.
This girl is extremely clever and responds well to positive reinforcement when learning new skills. She has good self control, can wait and stay without problems, and has solid recall. Charlie is crate trained and feels safe and sound in there at night, or if she needs to calm down. She is scared of buses, trucks and other loud noises while out walking. She's also not a fan of rain or hoses, but tolerates her regular bath.
Charlie is good in the car and gets excited for road trips and new adventures. She loves to play games...especially chasing a ball (her favourite thing in the world), tug-o-war or hide and seek with her toys.
Whilst she may be a medium size dog, weighing in at around 25kg, Charlie still thinks she's a lap dog and absolutely adores her humans.....she's always keen for a belly rub! When she's ready to recharge the batteries at night time, she will take herself off to bed, but does like a small spoonful of peanut butter as a bedtime treat.
Charlie's perfect forever home......
Charlie is high energy and needs regular outdoor exercise. She is happiest in wide grassy spaces where she can explore and chase her ball. A home on property would be an absolute dream for this girl....she is currently living with a cat and they get along well, but it was a slow introduction. If she was to live with another cat in her next home, they would need to be introduced slowly. Charlie has had quite a few positive experiences around other dogs, but has also shown some fear based reactivity around certain dogs, so if she was to be homed with another dog, a meet would need to be organised to see how they get along. We are looking for experienced dog owners who will commit to continuing on with her training and providing her with daily walks and off leash runs. Charlie is not currently living with children, but we feel she would be better suited to a home with teenagers, rather than younger ones.
If you feel you can offer this girl an amazing home as outlined above, we would love to hear from you. She would not cope well in an apartment/unit with courtyard as she needs lots of space to explore and run, so please don't apply if this is all you can offer....Charlie is located in Newtown Sydney.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
