About Stevie
Two year old STEVIE is a sweet-natured kelpie male with oodles of personality and a great sense of humour that he's happy to display once he gets to know you.
Like all kelpies, Stevie is a highly intelligent, alert and very trainable dog. Because he has such a high IQ, he may get into mischief if left to his own devices, so we are looking for a home where someone is home most of the time and/or there is a canine pal to play with.
To be happy and content, Stevie needs to be an integral part of the family. He is definitely not an outside-only dog. He is accustomed to having access to the home so that he can be with his favourite people.
He also requires plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. The greatest joy of a kelpie is tender loving care from their human family and their greatest disappointment is inactivity and lack of attention.
Once Stevie bonds to you, he'll be wherever you are - whether that's pounding the pavements on long walks or runs, or lounging in front of the television in the evening. Kelpies are "velcro dogs" that thrive on human company and interaction.
Stevie is very dog-friendly and has been exposed successfully to a range of other species, including cats, kangaroos and horses. However, it's important to know that he can be timid with strangers and will require a a little time to settle into his new home and bond with his new family. Once he has, he'll love you forever.
At only two years of age, Stevie has a lifetime of canine joy and devotion to give to his forever family.
He is desexed, microchipped, wormed and vaccinated and his adoption fee is $650.
SECURE FENCING essential.
