About Zoe
Zoe is an angel disguised as a greyhound. She doesn’t have one bad bone in her (very long) body. She’s got a pure and genuine heart and feels it is her mission to make those around her happy.
An angelic face matches Zoe’s angelic personality. One of Zoe’s best features are her ears, which are like mini satellites constantly swivelling around to get the best reception. They are as soft as velvet and incredibly floppy, flouncing all around the place as she trots happily around. Her gorgeous black and white coat makes it looks as if she has stepped her legs in white paint and dipped her snout in too!
Zoe has adjusted to life in foster care exceptionally well, taking each new challenge in her stride calmly and confidently. She will make an excellent adventure companion as she is adaptable and curious in new environments. Zoe thinks car rides are excellent fun, as she always knows a fun adventure is just around the corner. Of course unless it is a trip to the vet, in which case she is less than happy. When out exploring the world on her daily walks she will wag her distinctive, stumpy tail (which is partially amputated) as fast as she can, causing her whole body to wobble with excitement.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
During the COVID crisis, not all of our rescued Greyhounds will have the usual socialisation with other dogs so we may advise to use a muzzle in some situations until the dog is fully socialised.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
