About Archie
Archie is finally ready to look for his foster to adopt home!
Please read the whole post before applying, as only those who meet Archies criteria will be considered.
Archie really lives up to his nickname, bullfrog! Despite his recovery, Archie is always full of beans, life and love and is always making his foster ma laugh with his goofing around. He is working on basic commands, is house trained and crate trained to perfection. Archie is more toy motivated than food, but he still loooovess his food and will often wait at the door where the food is to let his foster ma know he’s hungry 😂. Archie will play fetch with any ball or toy you’ve got, and if it squeaks even better! Archie has lots of love for dog savvy kids and thinks every dog he meets is his new play friend (even if they aren’t interested 😂). He snores like a freight train and will eat his own poo if you turn a blind eye even for one second with no remorse but it’s all worth it!
💕Archies family will need to have a crate for him prior to bringing him home.
💕 Archie doesn’t always wee or poo in one place so be prepared for surprise little poo bombs to pop up all over the yard!
💕Archie needs a family who is committed to supervising him during his play and out-of-crate time (inside and out) to make sure he can be put back to crate rest when his legs need it. If his family don’t, Archie will just try to keep going and going as he doesn’t have an off switch which will hinder his recovery and cause injury.
💕 Archie needs a home without any other dogs.
💕 Archie needs a home without stairs or hills. As much as he is recovering well these would be difficult for him.
💕 Archie needs a family with someone home a good chunk of the time to allow him to come in and out of crate rest.
💕 Archie needs a home with children over 8.
If you would like to meet Archie please head over to our website www.abcrescue.com.au and complete an adoption application.
Medical notes
Archie was diagnosed with subarachnoid cyst, that left him paralysed. Archies cyst was surgically drained and his spine stabilised. Archie has done his rehab and recovered beautifully.
Archie will not need any ongoing medical assistance in regards to this.
