About Samdol
*In foster care in Marrickville, Sydney*
The sweetest, most loving boy in the world, Sam adores every single person he meets! He's incredibly calm in all situations and will make a fantastic companion for pretty much any type of household - singles, couples and families alike.
Sam has arthritis, which he takes permanent medication for - but it definitely doesn't affect his huge appetite for life! He's becoming very good at walking on his leash, and enjoys meeting the neighbours on his daily jaunts around the local streets :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Samdol is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I've got so much love to give and can't wait to find an amazing home where I'm allowed to be a proper member of the family! I'm at my happiest when I'm with my favourite humans - cuddles are my favourite thing ever! - though I can tolerate being left alone while you're out at work.
Because of my arthritis I'll do best in a house with minimal steps, and if there are any cold floors (wood, tiles or concrete) I'll need some warm beds or cushions to keep me comfortable.
I have a tendency to gulp my food and then immediately regurgitate it (TMI sorry!) - so in my foster home I've been getting three small meals a day rather than one or two big ones, which has been working really well.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: A nice short stroll once or twice a day keeps me feeling my best! I love getting out and sniffing everything, eating some grass and meeting friendly people.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm super patient so kids love me - and I love them! They'll just need to be mindful of my back legs and not expect me to run around and play too much.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love other dogs SO much, I'm always trying to say hello to all the nice puppers I see on my walks! I haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet.
Medical notes
Sam is on lifelong medication for arthritis. He also has some anxiety about being in the car and can get motion sickness, but he responds well to anti-nausea medication for long car trips.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
